A rumpled braid is quite a new hair style, it’s essentially a loose braid, and though it is not the best hair style for formal occasions, it can be an attractive everyday hairdo, and it’s rather unique as it is suited for longer hair types.

The trick with this hairdo is to create these plaits after scrunching first, perhaps using a mist volumising spray, which makes the hair damp. You can then scrunch and blow dry and weave a classic brad at the back of your neck. Remember it’s is not like a typical braid and it should look relatively loose.

Not many people know a great deal about fishtail hair styles and the name probably doesn’t make it sound as good as it is. It’s a type of braid and it changes in thickness from the head to the shoulders, and really it only works well with long hair.

It must be said that fishtails do not suit every type of woman. They tend to look better on individuals who are used to having their hair tied back. We do not recommend having a fishtail if you have a fringe, partly because it takes some of the impact away from the fishtail and that’s not what this new trend is about.
