Hair extensions

When you want instant longer hair, the only resort you have is to wear a wig or use hair extensions of some type. So we wanted to explain some tips!
Buying ‘weft’ will be cheaper as these are a section of hair (synthetic or real) that is sewn together at the top. You can then sew in extension clips, so as to make installing them faster and easier.
Make sure you pick the right length of hair; anything longer than you want will only be wasted, so you’ll waste your money.
Human hair is more expensive, but will usually look more normal with the rest of your hair, so if you can afford to, go with this option.
If you are going to wear your hair up, and want extensions in, remember to install them upside down against your roots, and to cover it with a layer of hair so that it won’t become exposed when you put your hair up.

Beard Care Guide

If like many men in the United Kingdom and the world who have decided to bring back the beard in all its glory, will realise that it does take some work, care and attention to keep it looking like a glossy GQ-esque well pruned man mane it is. If you do not have a clue, fear not we shall endeavour to enlighten you on some treatments and procedures to help you stay “grizzly-chic”.

If you have a tache and/or a beard, investing in some natural moustache wax could help change the game. From adding body and shine to keeping hold of manic out of control facial fuzz the moustache wax holds everything in place while giving scope to shape, re-design and mould.

Colour Care for Hair

Hair styles change all the time. From bright colours to innovative new designs so its important to take care of your hair to ensure your make the most of your style and hair colour.

There should be a lot of thought before you decide to colour your hair as you want to be mindful not to excessively damage your hair. That can take a long time and a lot of money to achieve. If you have any concerns speak to a hair care professional before dyeing your hair.

Once you have decided to re-colour your hair you need to wash your hair under as cold water as you can take it. This helps to maintain its shine and keep it healthy. Having water on too hot will rinse out the colour and dry it out.

When your hair is first dyed (providing you have long hair) you or your haircare professional should go over it with a flat iron to secure the colour to your hair shaft. Try and avoid harsh chemicals from there on out and wait at least 48 hours after to wash your hair after its been done.

Men’s hair – The Fade

The fade came about in the late 80s/early 90’s but it’s a look that can still work today, and the current theme for men’s hair tends to involve short back and sides. A fade can work really well with a quiff, and if it is done correctly, by a professional hairdresser then the transition from short sides to longer hair on top can be smooth.

Some hair tends to have a higher level of fade, for example near to the top of the hair, but a fade can work whether it’s high up on the sides or relatively low, but you just have to make sure the transition is even on both sides.

There are many hairstyles that can work well with a fade, but the quiff and fade is certainly becoming one of the most popular hairstyles, so consider it as a new look if you’re stuck on choosing a new men’s hair style.

Washing your Hair too often

Hair Treatment

It is actually possible to wash your hair too often, and if you wash your hair every day, you may feel as though you’re doing the world of good for your hair but in reality you can actually be damaging it. You’re not damaging it in the same was you would with hairdryers and hair straighteners, but shampoo can strip the natural oils away, so washing every other day can be a lot better.

It can be beneficial to think of your hair as a natural fibre, because it is. The more you wash a wool jumper the worse it will appear, and that can be applied to hair. When you shower it can be tempting to dab a bit of shampoo in your hand and wash you hair, but if you start making the habit of washing your hair once every two days it will begin o look healthier.

Why go through bottle sand bottles of shampoo when you can use half the amount in a week and still have good looking hair?
